Look at this word that they changed: "Lieutenant" in Ezra 8:36 of the KJV. What did they change it to? "Satraps". Is satraps easier for you to understand than lieutenant? Had you ever heard of the word before? Most of us haven't. In my opinion, "satraps" is obsolete (if it ever was in popular use).

If the Lord wills, I will do a write-up on this unauthorized Bible called the New King James. It removes 20,066 words from the authorized King James Bible and makes 100,000 word changes. Many of the changes are right in line with the NIV--the big money-maker whose blasphemies many are believing. An NIV article is in the works.
