Cuando aprendiendo una lengua, es muy importante a hablar la lengua. Si no usas la lengua no va a hacer progresos muchísimos en tus estudios. Como Cristiano, no necesitas buscar por todas partes para alguien con quien hablar.
When learning a language, it is very important to speak the language. If you do not use the language, you are not going to make very much progress in your studies. As a Christian, you do not have to look high and low for someone with whom to speak.

El Señor nos ha dicho orarle sin cesando. Cuando orando, puedes usar las palabras que sabes. Uso el Usted (Ud.) forma del verbo cuando hablando con Dios aunque los Latinos usan la forma tú con Dios (como en su Biblia). Desde lo que he visto, los niños de los Latinos no pueden usar la forma tú con sus padres--es considerado falta de respeto.
The Lord has told us to pray to him without ceasing. When praying, you can use words that you know. I use the Usted form of the verb when speaking with God although Latinos use the tú form with God (as in their Bible). From what I have seen, the children of Latinos cannot use the tú form with their parents--it is considered disrespect.

Después comencé traduciendo las escrituras al español, mi español mejorado muchisimo. Cosas que yo no podría entender en tiempos pasados, comenzaba entender. Y cuando empecé hablado el español con Dios, en poco rato mi hija examinó mis tarjetas (ya hemos empezado haciendo tarjetas durante el dí) y ella dijiste que mis tarjetas contuvieron palabras más dificíl. Le dije a ella que ellos fueron mis tarjetas desde oración. En este punto, no puedo expresar todo lo que he experimentado en orando a Dios en el español pero es más que una persona puede pensar.
After I began translating the scriptures to Spanish, my Spanish improved a lot. Things that I could not understand in times past, I began to understand. And after I began speaking in Spanish to God my vocabulary began to mature. At this point, I cannot express all that I have experienced in praying to God in Spanish but it is more than one may think.

- 501 Spanish Verbs by Christopher Kendris (he hallado este libro en las tiendas de libros usados por poco dinero--como tres dólares.)
Cuando orando, use las palabras que sabes. Cuando quieres usar una palabra que no sabes, puedes decirla en inglés a guardar el flujo de tu oración o puedes buscarla en el diccionaro. Escribe la palabra inglés en un lado de una tarjeta índice y la palabra española en el otro lado. Una palabra o una frase por tarjeta.
Por mi, las tarjeta aumentaron en número en poco rato. Las estudiaba yo por grupos pero pronto cesé haciendo tarjetas nuevas. Parece que yo tenía un vocabulario básico a cual estaba facíl añadir sin usando tarjetas. Como considero mi experiencia, veo que antes de empecé orandole a Dios en el español en serio, yo había sido hablando con mi hija durante el día en Español por un poco rato y yo había sido haciendo tarjetas en ese tiempo. Creo que ese prática me preparó por orando por aumentando mi vocabulario y habilidad a comunicar.
In the beginning, you might want to keep the following in the place of prayer--
- a Spanish-English dictionary
- index cards
- 501 Spanish Verbs by Christopher Kendris (I have found this book in used book store for little money--like three dollars.)
When praying, use words that you know. When you want to use a word that you do not know, you can say it in English to keep the flow of your prayer or you can look it up in the dictionary. Write the English word on one side of an index card and the Spanish word on the other side.
One word or short phrase per index card.
For me, the cards grew in number in a short time. I studied them by groups but soon I stopped making new cards. It seems that I had a basic vocabulary to which it was easy to add without using cards. As I look back on my experience, I see that before I began praying to God in Spanish in earnest, I had been talking with my daughter during the day in Spanish for a little while and had been making cards at that time. I believe that that practice prepared me for praying by increasing my vocabulary and ability to communicate.

NUMBER SEVEN
Cuando hablando con adultos, mucho Latinos (hispanohablantes en este hemíferico--las Américas) usan la forma Usted (Ud.), pero en algún lugares ellos usan la forma familiar "tú." Cuando comenzando una converasación uso Usted y si la otra persona use "tú" voy a usar tú desde ese punto.
Leo que este es aceptable, pero no sé si este es siempre el caso. Usando "tú" en muchos lugares es considerado falta de respeto. Conocí una persona de America Central quien me dijo que ellos siempre se usan "Ud." aún con buen amigos (pero ellos se dirigen Dios como "tú" como en sus Biblias. Uso Usted con Dios) Con niños adultos usan la forma "tú." Hay otras reglas que gobieran el uso de "tú" y "Ud." como por lo concerniente grado social pero no he hallado una razón
a prestar mucha atención a esas reglas; mi experiencia simplemente ha sido que he comunicado con otras personas mientras
considerando y observando reglas básicas de respeto (y támbien aprendiendo mas de las costumbres por interacción continuado con la communidad latina). Cuando escribiendo, algunos autores usan tú con sus lectores y algunos usan Ud. con sus lectores. Uso Usted con Dios, tú con los lectores y niños.
When speaking with adults, many Latinos (spanish speakers in this hemisphere--the Americas) use the Usted (Ud.) form, but in some places they use the familar form, "tú." When beginning a conversation I use Ud. and if the other person uses "tú" I can use tú from that point (unless it is an older person. There are rules governing the use of "tú."
From what I read, this is a normal practice. I knew a person from Central America who told me that they always use Usted, even with good friends (but she used "tú" with God as in their Bibles. I use Usted with God). With children, adults use "tú." There are other rules that govern the use of tú and Ud. as concerning social status but I have not found a reason to pay much attention to those rules; my experience simply has been that I have communicated with other people while
considering and observing basic rules of respect (and also learning more of the customs/habits through continued interaction with the Latino community).
When writing, some authors use tú with their readers and some use Ud. with their readers. I use Usted with God, tú with readers and children.
Cuando traduciendo las escrituras uso Usted para Dios y tú y vosotros formas para los hombres.
When translating the scriptures I use Usted for God and tú and vosotros (familiar you plural) forms for men.
