Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
"The human body...is made up of those same basic minerals and elements
that are our natural resources."
*** PREFACE ***
We will begin with a note taken from the article entitled, A glaring example of how false science holds the truth in unrighteousness--
THE TRUTH: GOD MADE MAN OUT OF THE DUST OF THE GROUND.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.I know that this is true because God's word is truth (ref. John 17:17), period. I am not looking for any proof whatsoever of this fact--and was not looking for any. The point that I wish to make in this section is that false science holds this truth in unrighteousness (ref. Romans 1:18-22)--the truth that God made man out of the dust of the ground--they hold this truth in the midst of their unrighteous decrees and proclamations like evolution.
The aformentioned article, "A glaring example of how false science holds the truth in unrighteousness." includes a table entitled, "Human Body Composition" The table plainly shows that man is composed of the dust of the earth.
*** A SECOND WITNESS HAS APPEARED ***
A second witness has appeared. It is a poster put out by the Mineral Information Institute (www.mii.org). It begins thus (all emphases ours)--
"The human body is one of the most complex structures in nature, yet it is made up of those SAME basic mineral and elements that are our natural resources."On the poster is a picture of a young woman playing volleyball. It has a section entitled, "Elements comprising the human body". Under this heading one finds--
- Oxygen 61%
- Carbon 23%
- Hydrogen 10%
- Nitrogen 2.6%
- Calcium 1.4%
- Phosphorus 1.1%
- Sulfur .20%
- Potassium .20%
- Sodium .14%
- Chlorine .12%
- Magnesium .027%
- Silicon .026%
- Iron .006%
- Zinc .0033%
- Fluoride .0037%
- Other .2607%
- Copper,
- Cobalt,
- Iodine,
- Chromium,
- Nickel,
- Vanadium,
- Germanium,
- Arsenic,
- Boron,
- Tin,
- Selenium,
- Rubidium,
- Manganese,
- Molybdenum
- And more
The bottom of the page reads thus--
Good health depends on supplying your body with these necessary nutrients. Each of these elements fulfills a critical function in your life. Without them, a healthy body could not exist. [We are made of the dust of the earth and we need to consume/eat it. The iron, the copper, the sulfur, the zinc, etc.]
The second side of the Mineral Information Institute poster deals with the minerals, metals, and elements that are required in our diets--
These four elements make up more than 96% of our body weight. All vitamins contain at least three (many all four) of these elements.[*]
CARBON ( C ) Found in vitamins A, B, C, D, H, and K. . . .
HYDROGEN ( H ) Found in vitamins A, B, C, D, H, and K. . . .
NITROGEN ( N ) Found in vitamins B1, B2, B6, H, and B12. . . .
OXYGEN ( O ) Found in vitamins A, B, C, D, H, and K. . . .[*] Our note: the plants and animals that we eat come from the earth and from the sea, both in which dust bits are found. The waters have covered the earth in the past and at this time nutrients flow into the seas via rivers returning from whence they came (see Ecclesiastes 1:7).
The poster then goes on to list various minerals that we need (calcium, chlorine, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, etc.) and in what foods they are found. The bottom of the page emphasizes the importance of the dust bits to our bodies--
Health risks are more likely to occur from an insufficiency of minerals and trace elements than from an insufficiency of vitamins. . . While our mineral intake represents only about .3 percent of our total intake of nutrients, they are so potent and so important that without them we wouldn't be able to utilize the other 99.7 percent of foodstuffs and would quickly perish.
