[Our note: Christ is our passover (I Corinthians 5:7). -- The Lord's supper was instituted at PASSOVER. We partake of the Lord's supper in remembrance of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (reference I Corinthians 11:24-25) and thereby shew his death till he come (reference I Corinthians 11:26). We are told to remember his death. We are NOT told to celebrate "Easter", and nor are we told to celebrate "Christmas". "Easter bunnies," "Easter eggs," the Roman Catholic "Ash Wednesday," "lent," etc. We are NOT told to celebrate "Christmas," "Christmas trees," "Yule logs," etc. These abominations came from somewhere from outside of God's holy word. Let that which is outside of the temple of God stay out. Pagan ways and idolatry pertaineth not unto God's people.

In researching about "Easter" one might come across talk of Nimrod and tales of "Semiramis". Nimrod is found in the Bible in Genesis 10:9, 9; 1 Chronicles 1:10; Micah 5:6. Tammuz is found in the Bible in Ezekiel 8:14. Nimrod and Tammuz are not found mentioned together. When studying the origin of "Easter", it is through extra biblical sources that one comes across the intricate tales of Nimrod, "Semiramis," Tammuz, etc. Of these things I am unlearned and therefore cannot verify them. We must focus on what the Bible says. Concerning these tales and the powers of darkness, the Bible says to
...have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. Ephesians 5:11-12We need to be separate from evil and focusing on doing what is right.]

Easter is a day that is honered by nearly all of contemporary Christianity and is used to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast which includes an "Easter Ham", decorated eggs and stories about rabbits.
Those who love truth learn to ask questions, and many questions must be asked regarding the holiday of Easter.
Is it truly the day when Jesus arose from the dead? Where did all of the strange customs come from, which have nothing to do with the resurrection of our Saviour?

How many churches have "sunrise services" on Ishtar's day and face the rising sun in the East?
How many will use colored eggs and rabbit stories, as they did in ancient Babylon.
These things are no joke, any more than Judgement day is a joke.
