Interlude: Going Past and Looking Forward
May 2, 2010

****************************

The devil lies. The devil is a liar. The devil lies all the time. The devil lies constantly and with total abandon. He won't stop lying. He is a liar and the father of it. He was lying 6,000 years ago and has been lying ever since. His lying ways have not changed. He lies about God. He lies about God's power. He is lying to men today about God's power and presenting himself as if he has control over the whole world and there is nothing that can be done about it.

God is not without power. He is God Almighty as in *ALL* MIGHTY. The Lord Jesus Christ said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. He has all the power. Angels, authorities, powers and principalities are subject unto him. His name is above every name in this world that can be named and he is Lord and Christ.

Yes, I know about Obama and the destruction of America. I know about the Mother and her antics too. I know that the beast is coming and may already be alive but I'm looking past all that at this time and toward the return of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You see, he is coming back in wrath and it is time to get ready lest that wrath fall on the unprepared (and that includes church people).

The Revelation is not the Revelation of antichrist, it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass

Revelation shows us what must come to pass before the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. The characters that we see dancing across the world's stage today are just part of what precedes the coming of the Lord. I am looking past them and focusing on the judgment. Yes, I know that the ministers of Satan exist, and I am watching as the Bible instructs me to, but I am focusing on getting ready for the coming of the Lord.

When the Lord Jesus Christ comes back, all the kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. They will hide themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains and will say to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? I am getting ready for that day. I want to meet Jesus in the air with the saints. I am getting ready for the return of the Lord.

Don't deceive yourself. God is not without power in these end times. He is using the devil just like he did with Job. Job was a righteous man but God used a series of calamities to perfect Job's understanding. Unlike Job's situation, the calamity that we are currently facing (and are in the midst of) is a judgment on a lukewarm, disobedient church. What we are experiencing is just like when God used Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to destroy the Jews' temple and take them captive because of their disobedience. In the midst of this calamity and tribulation that we are faced with, God will scourge us, purge us, and purify us. We are the bride of Christ and a bride gets herself together before her wedding. On her wedding day, she is at her most beautiful. God is not going to have his Son's bride dirty, unclean, stinking, and filthy. He is going to cleanse us and he knows just how to do it with the fires of persecution. We will be at our best and shaken out of our complacency and lukewarmness--at least those of us who are really saved. This is going to be a time of separating the wheat from the chaff. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back for a church without a spot or a blemish or a wrinkle or any such thing and it is time to get ready. The way I see it is if the blood of the righteous has to flow at the hands of the wicked, it has to flow. I am looking past this fleeting calamity and towards the judgment and the return of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. It is time to mentally prepare and get ready for the coming of the Lord. There is no "pre-tribulation rapture." It is time to draw nigh to God and get cleaned up. Time to put those besetting sins to the side and let that which is lame be healed. Each one of us needs to be acquainted with the plagues (ref. I Kin 8:38, Jer 4:14 Ps 19:12) of our own heart so that we can forsake them and be healed. Examine those areas--make them your study--and tell God that you are willing to be healed (this is critical because if you try to stop your habits in the flesh and you aren't willing to be healed, you can stay on a merry-go-round for years) and then start stopping. Stop doing what you are doing. Put the breaks on those areas. Get up for the morning oblation--I like to get up under the cover of darkness and go to my special place to present myself before the Lord. I am often awakened with a specific thought to pray about. I think for a while and then I go forward and pray. The morning oblation is me presenting myself before the Lord. It is not just a short prayer. This is a time to be alone with the Lord at the top of the day giving him the firstfruits of the day, the lion's share. I have found this to be the place of power.

It is high time to pray and fast and call on the name of the Lord and be delivered from our wickednesses. Those church people who are having their "youth revivals" and fieldtrips to the amusement parks are in for a big wakeup call. Now is the time to prepare for the coming of the Lord. If you watch tv, you are of the world. TV is all world and if you are saved of a truth you will not argue that fact. Now is the time to get our houses in order. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again and he will judge the world, including each one of us.

II Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
