GOD IS OUR FATHER
The Authorized Version of the Bible conformable to the edition of 1611 is the word of God. It tells us everything that we need to know--who God is and what he requires of us. Anything that contradicts it, adds to it, takes away from it, or changes it is a lie. Evil men and seducers are waxing worse and worse deceiving and being deceived. Iniquity abounds and the love of many is waxing cold. All the foundations of the earth are out of course. Sins and lies and false religions and blasphemies and heresies abound inside and outside of visible churches. It is now 2013. This article was written some years ago, but the gender inclusivity ball keeps rolling (witness the 2011 NIV)
There are people are blasphemously calling God "our Mother" or "our Heavenly Parent". I first heard this some years ago on a talk show (for the record, I [stopped watching television over a decade ago]) where a group of people had the Bible rewritten to be "gender-inclusive". All references to God as "He" were changed to "He/she", all references to God as "Father" were changed to include Him as "mother".
This blasphemy is not limited to the New Age mumbo-jumbo groups. I was visiting a Baptist church where the preacher said that at a conference he went to, they prayed to God as "Our Heavenly Parent". This is not right. People are being carried away with their wicked imaginations. We Christians know the truth and need to nip those people in the bud when they come to us with nonsense. They are false prophets leading people astray, but we are not ignorant of Satan's devices.
I feel that another related item is praying in Jesus' name. We know from the Bible that devils tremble at that name. My father was in the military for almost 30 years and I used to go to functions with him. I noticed that when the chaplains would pray they would rarely, if ever, pray in Jesus' name.
Ever noticed how you can say "God bless you" all day long but as soon as you say, "Jesus" people get on edge? Another thing I've noticed is that many people end their prayers saying, "In Thy name we pray." Jesus said that if we ask the Father anything in His [Jesus'] name, He will do it. I therefore teach the children to end their prayers with something like, "In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
Notice in the following e-mail how the woman so easily and erroneously talks about the "original bible"--reminiscent of the defenders of the different Bible versions. She entitled her e-mail, "The Truth".
The original bible, before it was rewritten during the time of the protestant reformation, contained numerous references to God as a mother rather than a father...Also, please use your religion to spread peace and not hatred for people who believe differently than you do. If your God is just, then all good people will go to heaven...
P.S. did you know that Catholics have a statistically much higher I.Q. level AND level of education than those of other religions--maybe they do know what they're talking about...

Thank you for writing with your comments. My God wants everyone to have life. That's why He came to die. However, He only accepts them on His terms. This should not be so surprising to you. When you want to go to Harvard you must meet specifications and guidelines. They will not take you any old kind of way. When you want to build a house you've got a blueprint. What makes you think a holy and just God will accept you as a dirty rotten sinner? The blood of His Son is your provision. Reject Him and He'll reject you. It's not rocket science.
The Bible says that the gospel is an offense. I make no apologies. As for what this world terms "intelligence" that is of no concern to me-- the hearts and souls of men is. If you deem yourself unworthy of eternal life, your blood is on your own head.
Your nonsensical statement about God as a mother carries absolutely no weight. People make up ridiculous things like that all the time. Someone once said that my husband or I said that a person can't be saved unless they read the King James Bible. If someone can lie on us like that in 1996, why wouldn't you or anyone else lie about things 2,000 years ago? More importantly, we still have God's chosen people on this earth right now--the Jewish people. Their writings date back [hundreds] of years before Christ--God was not called a she. Now see how ridiculous your statement is?
